Huntsville Police Solve Rash of Burglaries

Huntsville, Alabama (July 30, 2010
) Huntsville Police North Investigators received information on a vehicle that was involved in several residential burglaries around McDow Ave. and Jordan Lane earlier last week. Investigators located the vehicle on July 22, 2010, on Mount Vernon Rd. and four juveniles were taken into custody.  The juveniles were interviewed and charged with 3 counts of Burglary 3rd (each). Investigators anticipate additional charges.


In a separate incident occurring on July 26, 2010, uniform officers were called to check several suspicious subjects on Bell Avenue.  Officers located the subjects leaving the area and conducted a traffic stop at University Dr. and Pulaski Pike.  Two juveniles and one adult -Thomas Robinson, 21 years of age, were taken into custody.  Officers located property in their vehicle that linked them to several residential burglaries in the area of Bell Avenue..  All three subjects were charged with 4 counts of Burglary 3rd and will be charged with several more burglaries in the near future.


With the arrests of these seven offenders, investigators advise that 11 residential burglaries in the North Precinct will be solved as well as cases from Lawrence and Morgan County.
