HPD Arrest Six in Jewelry Store Burglary


Huntsville, Alabama (February 11, 2009) Investigators with the Huntsville Police Departments West Precinct arrested six suspects and have obtained  warrants for two more suspects after an extensive investigation of the burglary of Donny’s Diamond Gallery.

 

This incident took place sometime during the night of February 4, 2009, at 2510 South Memorial Parkway in which suspects were able to disable an alarm, pry open the back door and make off with a large amount of jewelry from the safes.

 

Investigators worked tirelessly this week to track down the suspects of the burglary and recover a large amount of the stolen jewelry.   The investigators also made several arrests of business owners and individuals who were responsible for buying and concealing the stolen property.

 

The following are a list of arrests and the outstanding warrants:

 

Donald Lee Anderson, 53 years of age, of Huntsville, arrested for Receiving Stolen Property First Degree

 

Dylan Tyrone Wilson, 21 years of age, of Huntsville, arrested for Receiving Stolen Property First Degree

 

Pierre Marquez Sims, 18 years of age, of Huntsville, arrested for Burglary First Degree and Receiving Stolen Property First degree

 

Aziz Hasan Chamadia, 43 years of age, of Lilburn Ga. and owner of Fata Inc. doing business as Goldrush 5901 University Drive, arrested for Receiving Stolen Property First Degree

 

Hera Lal, 41 years of age, of Huntsville and an employee of Goldrush arrested for Receiving Stolen Property First Degree

 

Osama Ashour Ibrahim, 30 years of age, of Huntsville and an employee of Goldrush, arrested for Receiving Stolen Property First Degree

  

Huntsville Police have obtained warrants for the following in connection with this burglary and anyone with information on the whereabouts of these two please contact the Huntsville Police Department at 722-7100.

 

Richard Larry Slaten, 20 years of age, of Huntsville. warrants for Receiving Stolen  Property and other crimes.

 

David Earl High, 59 years of age, of Huntsville, Warrant for Receiving Stolen Property First Degree
