Tree Removal – Road Closure

Huntsville, Alabama (November 25, 2009) The City of Huntsville’s Department of Landscape Management and Public Works are announcing that they have recently been notified by the residents of Green Mountain that several trees along Green Mountain Road have died and are leaning over the roadway. In response, the City of Huntsville’s Landscape Management Department has determined that several trees along Green Mountain Road are an immediate hazard and need to be removed before they fall onto the roadway. With the assistance of the Huntsville Police Department, the City Of Huntsville Public Works, Landscape Management, and Huntsville Utilities are going to close Green Mountain Road, from South Shawdee Road to Camelot Drive on Friday, December 4th from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to remove the hazardous trees from the right of way along Green Mountain Road.  We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that the residents of Green Mountain will plan accordingly and schedule their day around the closing of Green Mountain Road. Emergency services have been notified of the road closure and have made the necessary changes to make sure that the citizens of Green Mountain will not be affected.
